About me

dare to do things differently

My background

I’ve always been a Creative soul since I was a child, but my educational background is actually in International Development. It was whilst working in Communications for a charity after university that I fully realised my love of web and print design, and over several years I re-trained, experimented and ultimately changed my career.

Over the years I’ve participated in various creative courses and workshops, which have allowed me to discover and practice fine art, calligraphy, printing, free machine embroidery and so much more. I love seeking new ways to incorporate these styles into my design work, and find they keep my creative thinking fresh.

Even now I am continually seeking to expand my creative horizons, always on the lookout for new inspiration and new skills to learn. I practice hand-drawn art and illustration regularly, examples of which you will spot around this website and on my Instagram feed.

My approach

There are a few key things I wholeheartedly believe, and always try to practice in my work with my clients:

  • There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way things should be done
  • There is no such thing as a stupid question
  • Every person is different, and every business is different, so what works for one person may not work for another person.

I believe that the best work, the best marketing and the best design, always comes from the heart and is true to our beliefs and values. Sometimes this means going about things differently to others, but I say go for it. I happily offer professional advice when asked, and I always try to help you find the solutions that work best for you and your situation. The person who knows your business best is you, my job is to support you through the design process to help bring your business to light.

I work mostly with solopreneurs and small businesses, as I find the personal attention and amount of love that is often infused into their business approach a joy to discover and work with.
